JFD79: An American Werewolf in London, Ginger Snaps, Dog Soldiers

Yes! Everyone's favorite month, Schlocktober, is finally here. We kick off our month-long party of horror sub-genre theme shows, with an look at those hairy, blood-thirsty beasts that lurk in the darkest corners, werewolves!

Up first, two young Americans are attacked by ferocious beast while traveling through Europe. One of them is killed, while the other survives, only to become a beast himself when the moon is full in An American Werewolf in London from 1981, directed by John Landis.

Then, two goth sisters experience the trials and tribulations of growing up but with an added twist; when one sister becomes a creature of the night in the 2000 coming-of-age horror flick Ginger Snaps.

And finally, a routine military exercise quickly becomes a fight for survival against a pack of wolfish enemies in the 2002 British action/horror film Dog Soldiers.

All this plus witty banter between friends, listener feedback, Nerd News, DVD & Blu-ray releases, and so much more!
