JFD171: House Party, The Green Slime, Vice Academy!

It's time for another summertime jam with your Junk Food Dinner homeboys, as we cover three of the dopest flicks!

Up first, we meet up with early-90's rappers/actors/famous people Kid 'n Play and Martin Lawrence for the party of the year with 1990's House Party. Will beleaguered student Kid be able to avoid the police, his pops, and the school bullies in order to reach the wild dance party his pal Play his hosting while his parents are out of town? Find out as we discuss this surprisingly blaxploitation-themed gem from our childhoods.

Then, we head up to the big meatball in the sky and try to prevent the Earth's destruction from an impending astroid collision, but end up unleashing a fate far worse with 1968's The Green Slime! This Japanese/American co-production is one of the more bizarre and campy classics of 60's science fiction, with rubbery monsters and terrible miniatures.

Finally, we hit the mean streets of the San Fernando Valley with Linnea Quigley, Ginger Lynn and friends with the first entry in Rick Sloane's USA Up All Night movie series, 1989's Vice Academy. Are the goofy antics of this sexy police squad worth watching, or is this just a silly Charlie's Angels / Police Academy spoof worth forgetting? Tune in to find out.

All this plus witty banter between friends, Nerd News, this week's DVD & blu-ray releases, complete confidentiality, no police involvement, Public Enemas, listener tech support, sexy Italian ladies, Junk (voice)Mails, and so much more!
