JFD168: Ghoulies 3, Death Collector, Welcome to Planet Earth

Enjoy three Ghoulish tales this week, Junkies!

First, Kevin McCarthy ("UHF," "Invasion of the Body Snatchers") unleashes demons on campus during prank week in "Ghoulies III: Ghoulies go to College" from 1991. John Carl Buechler ("Friday the 13th VII," "Troll") directs this straight-to-video cheesefest that features Matthew Lillard as a frat boy.

Next, in a dystopian future, a man goes after the gang that murdered his brother in 1988's "Death Collector." This flick mixes genres to create a sci-fi/Western/noir.

Finally, a wholesome, yet violent, family of aliens come here for a vacation in "Welcome to Planet Earth" from 1997. This movie was made for Showtime's "Roger Corman Presents" imprint and stars George Wendt as the patriarch of the extraterrestrial family.

All this, Nerd News, new DVDs, no police involvement, complete confidentiality, occasional black outs and The Ramones.
