JFD372: The Hitcher, Wild Tales, Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders

This week on JFD we turn over the programming rights to our loyal Dom Deluise $10-a-month Patreon donors and get a trio of off-beat features to sink our teeth into.

Up first, C. Thomas Howell (Soul Man) plays a young man driving alone in Texas who picks up a hitchhiker played by Rutger Hauer (Hobo with a Shotgun) who quickly reveals himself as a psycho killer. Soul Man manages to escape the madman but sets off a game of cat and mouse in The Hitcher from 1986.

Next, we take a look at Argentina's highest grossing movie ever, Wild Tales (AKA Relatos Salvajes) from 2014. This dark anthology flick weaves 6 tales about people in strange situations with questionable morals.

Finally, Adam West, Burt Ward and Julie Newmar reprise their roles (well, at least the voices) from the classic 60's Batman TV show in an all-new, straight-to-DVD, animated adventure; Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders from 2016.

All this plus witty banter between friends, vacation plans, slot machine previews, Junk Mail, our world famous weekly Nerd News and Blu-ray Picks, continued lack of overt police involvement, and a whole lot more!
