JFD426: House II, Dangerous Men, The Dragon Lives Again

Kevin's out this week so we're joined by Parker's Pool Party Radio cohort Jason Frisbie in New York and Jason's friend Cotton from Little Rock.

Up first, the second film in the House franchise takes a decidedly different turn with new characters and a new house but things get even weirder as Jesse (Arye Gross) and his girlfriend Kate (Lar Park Lincoln) move into a house haunted by several strange ghost, including some of Jesse's deceased relatives in House II: The Second Story from 1986.

Then, Iranian architect-turned-low budget fimmaker Jahangir Salehi Yeganehrad (under the pseudonym John S. Rad) brings us Dangerous Men, a movie that began filming in 1985 but never saw a large release until 30 years later in 2015 when Drafthouse films brought this crazy flick about a woman who goes on a revenge-fueled killing spree after her boyfriend is murdered to a wide audience.

Finally, one of the most notorious "Bruceploitation" films The Dragon Lives Again from 197, in which Bruce Lee (played unconvincingly by Siu-Lung Leung) returns from the grave and teams up with The One-Armed Swordsman, Kain from Kung-Fu and Popeye the Sailor Man to fight Zatoichi (the blind swordsman), James Bond, The Godfather, Clint Eastwood, The Exorcist, Emmanuelle and Dracula!

All this plus updates on Freado's text messages, Mission Impossible impressions, H.P. Lovecraft streaming service ideas, Breen on Screen, your new favorite entry in the Buddies series and so much more!
