The ninth annual Schlocktober begins this week, but this episode was built on an ancient burial ground!

First, in an idyllic suburb, ghosts use the static between TV channels to talk to a young girl in Tobe Hooper's "Poltergeist."

Next, the ghosts track down Carole Anne and her family and only vaguely racist depictions of Native Americans can save them in "Poltergeist 2: The Other Side."

Finally, Carole Anne moves in with Nancy Allen in her Chicago skyrise, but still has ghost problems in Poltergeist 3.
