JFD437: Frankenstein, The Bride of Frankenstein, Son of Frankenstein

Schlocktober is in full effect and what better way to celebrate the holidays than with the patron saint of Halloween, Frankenstein, on his 200th birthday! Not only that, but we're joined by Shelby Cobras from Illogical Contraption to help kick off the festivities.

Up first, we take a look at the original 1931 classic Frankenstein. Directed by James Whale and starring Boris Karloff as the iconic monster and Colin Clive as the mad doctor that creates him!

Then, at the behest of the even madder Dr. Pretorius, Dr. Frankenstein assembles a wife for the monster, who has now learned to talk, in the 1935 sequel The Bride of Frankenstein.

Finally, years after the events of the first two films, Dr. Frankenstein's son (Basil Rathbone), returns to his father's castle and finds Ygor (Bela Lugosi) and the monster waiting for him in Son of Frankenstein from 1939

All this plus witty banter between friends, pumpkin carving tips, scared children in Half Moon Bay, LeBron James and Jason, who are the real monsters, fang count its, Nerd News, blu-rays and so much more.
