JFD565: Telly... Who Loves Ya, Baby?, Swirlee, Cool Cat Finds a Gun

Damn, it's getting hot outside. Time to slip into some comfy shorts... short films that is! Once again, JFD explores three short-subject pieces and this time they truly are very different.

Up first, Telly Savalas hosts an hour-long musical TV special entitled Telly... Who Loves Ya, Baby? (sponsored by Kraft Foods) in 1976 with special appearances by Barbara Eden and Cloris Leachman!

Then, in 1989, fresh off Street Trash, James Lorinz (Frankenhooker) and Roy Frumkes produced a 16-minute short film called Swirlee where Lorinz plays a depressed man with an ice cream cone for a head. His roomate, David Caruso, fed up with his depression, encourages him to get back involved with the local ice cream mafia.

And finally, a couple kids and a dude in a cat costume figure out what to do with a found firearm in Cool Cat Finds a Gun from 2013.

All this plus Mortal Kombat chat, tales from the drive-in, tips on how to watch baseball cheaply by changing your VPN, updates on Sean's cats and coyotes, R,L. Stine news, the hottest blu-rays of the week and so much more.
