JFD645: Convoy, The Fog, Plaga Zombie: Zona Mutante

This week: the standard JFD lineup is back to review a trio of non-standard flicks selected by the standard-bearers of good taste (our Patreon donors)!

Up first! Audiences agree, Sam Peckinpah sure is good at smashing up mack trucks. It's the stick-it-to-the-man classic Convoy (from 1978, as all trucker movies are)! It's the classic tale of some tough-ass truckers hitting the road and outsmarting the coppers, all while passing by classic A&W Root Beer stands. Thanks Eamon for picking it!

Next up! We head on over to the California coastline with John Carpenter and The Fog, (from 1980). It's the one where a fog rolls up on a lighthouse, and there may or may not be pirate ghosts underneath it. Thanks Mickey for picking it!

Finally! Of course, it's 2001's Plaga Zombie: Zona Mutante, because we love neon orange colored zombies, especially Argentinian ones. Thanks Steve M for picking it!

All this plus the international toilet report, respecting the Japanese tourists of this podcast, soggy boatsmen, cb radio daze, nerd news and even more! Recorded live-to-tape on National Cranberry Relish Day, 2022!!
