JFD648: Lensman, The Devil's Honey, Dude, Where's My Car?

This week: the standard JFD lineup is augmented by none other than Hatless Jackson (Stewart, director of Beyond the Gates!) to review a trio of non-standard flicks selected by the standard-bearers of bad taste (our Patreon donors)!

Up first! We're surprised to find out that Kevin is an otaku son of a bitch when he picks the 1984 anime flick Lensman, which is kind of a Star Wars rip-off (despite being based on books from the 30's). It's also got some wild early CG animation. Thanks Kevin E for picking it!

Next up! We head on over to Italy with Lucio Fulci and The Devil's Honey, (from 1986). It's the one where a guy tries to impregnate a lady using his saxophone. Thanks Mark From England for picking it!

Finally! Of course, it's 2000's Dude, Where's My Car?, because we continue to hail zoltan, against our better judgement. Thanks Josh H for picking it!

All this plus our recent moviegoing experiences including a report on The Beyond: The Composer's Cut, our recent videogame experiences including a report on Parker's ability to recreate his friends in pro wrestling games, pre-Avatar speculations, Kevin admits he "gets the appeal" of Tom Cruise, Kyle's remarkable sense of timing, early memories of the Japanimation craze, yuletide hold muzak, too many dudes, a special offer from your trusted VCR dealer, forgotten HBO shows, nerd news and even more! Recorded live-to-tape on National Violin Day, 2022!!
